FIRST UNITED MEN’S CLUB SUPPER MEETING will be held tomorrow night, Monday, May 6th, 5:30 for 6 pm.  All men welcome!

UCW MORNING COFFEE AND CAKE WALK: The UCW are sponsoring this event on Saturday, May 11th in Trinity Hall from 10:00 – 12 noon with the doors opening at 9:30.  Tickets will be $8 each and are available immediately following the Sunday services, through UCW members, and at the Church Office weekdays Wednesday – Friday from 10 am to 12 noon until May 8th. Get a group of your friends or family together, make up a table of 6 and enjoy getting together.  Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door so please purchase them by May 8th

CAKE WALK TABLE DONATIONS:  We have received commitments for many lovely sweet treats for the Cake Walk Table.  Thank you so much to those who responded to our call.  Cakes can be dropped off on Friday, May 10th beginning at 10 am when the office opens.  The UCW members will be setting up from 1 to 3 pm in Trinity Hall.  If you cannot make it to the church on Friday, please try to get your cake to Trinity Hall by 9:30 am on Saturday morning. UCW members will be there from 9 am getting ready.  Thank you for your support.

QUILTING GROUP: The group meets the first, third and fifth Monday of the month at 7:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room. All levels are welcome to join. For more information contact Pam Morgan at 709-691-0214 or pmorgan@mun.ca

BOOK CLUB:  The Book Club meets once a month. The book for discussion for May 29th is ‘The Girls in the Stilt house’ by Kelly Mustain. For information on time and place, please contact Pam Morgan at 709-691-0214 or pmorgan@mun.ca

NEXT UCW MEETING will be held on Monday, May 13th at 12:30   pm in Trinity Hall. All ladies should bring their own bagged lunch.  Tea and coffee will be provided.  All ladies of the congregation are welcome to attend.

CHRISTIAN FAMILY SUNDAY/ MOTHER’S DAY FOSTER CHILDREN FUND APPEAL: Our Youth Group sponsor foster children through Planned International Canada. We are appealing to the congregation for donations on Christian Family Sunday to help support this cause. Please help support our children! All donations greatly appreciated – loose change, through your envelope, etc.    

FOOD BANK SUNDAY: The first Sunday of the month is designated as Food Bank Sunday. Envelopes are available on the table in foyer.

BUILDING FUND SUNDAY: The last Sunday of the month is designated as Building Fund Sunday. Envelopes are available on the table in foyer.  if you would like to make a contribution.  Thank you for your continued support. 

RECYCLABLES?

 Our Youth Group collects beverage containers for recycling. If you would like to drop off your beverage recycling at the church, here’s what can be recycled: aluminum can; plastic containers; glass bottles; steel cans; drink boxes (tetra); mini sips (drink pouches) etc. (Please wash out all bottles and remove all caps before dropping them off.) This is a great fund raiser for the youth and the Youth Group thanks you for your support.

NoticeWEEKLY BULLETIN DEDICATIONS: Now that we have resumed printing bulletins, you may dedicate a bulletin in memory of a loved one or in celebration of a special event. If you would like to do so, please put your name and phone number for a specific date on the sign-up sheet located on the bulletin board in the vestibule or call the church office at 368-2194.
