Men's Fellowship Club
The purpose of the Men’s Fellowship Club is fellowship, worship, food and fun while volunteering and supporting church operations, special functions, and outreach actvities
Activities - Volunteering - Outreach
The First United Church Men’s Fellowship Club meet the first Tuesday of every month for worship, fellowship, food and fun. In addition, meetings are used for planning projects, their volunteer work and social outreach endeavours.
They share their expertise in food preparation and enjoy the results at each meeting. Many times throughout the year the men will also arrange for guest speakers to deal with topics of special interest. There is always time for fellowship and comroderie.
Church Projects
- Assisting with the annual Fish and Brews breakfast
- Catering annual dinners for UCW
- Delivering of church envelopes, newsletters, etc.
- Assisting with minor repair projects
- Assisting with equipment, preparations and clean up for church functions
- Assisting with Church decorating at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter
Fundraising - Outreach
- Leading the Annual Flea Market
- Coordinating and preparing the semi-annual Jiggs Dinners
- Supporting other church fundraisers
- Visitation with sick and shut in members at home and in hospital
- Visitation and sing-alongs at various seniors homes in the area
